"I write this email from Dar-es-salaam with a lot of sadness that i could not make it today since i was unable to reschedule my flight to be here with you. There is a saying that sometimes when God takes lovely people like JS and His wife Savitaben, he is protecting them from future evil and suffering in this world. I have know JS for over 17 years and he has been a mentor, friend, colleague and Role model. I have worked with JS in many activities including Funds drives for many causes involving the needy, IDP resettlement in 2008 where JS personally moved rotary clubs and well wishers from business to give a lot of resources to help those who had ended up in Nakuru and were stranded at Afraha stadium and showground after the chaos that engulfed the country after the elections. A few months ago we started The Nakuru residents association and JS was there as a founding member, he gave one of the first cheques to set up the organization, when we met to plan the show at Afraha which raised money for Bondeni Maternity, Ramesh Thakar said that what you do in life and the people you influence will be most evident by how many come to your funeral. JS was with us in that meeting and now it looks like a dream. We are full to the brim as we bid him farewell JS Loved people, He loved everyone ,he loved giving, he cared about the plight of the poor he loved His country. Though over time I have worked closely with his sons in various business sectors, he has been an inspiration beyond words. Those who killed this couple have robed themselves, the relatives of the criminals, and Nakuru community of more than they got in the items they stole from the home. They have taken the community one step back. May God keep Js and Savitaben in peace as they get nearer to him. He loves to have good people around him" Eng. Peter N. Njeru (EBS,MBA,MIEK)
