TRIBUTE TO MR. J. S. SHAH AND MRS. SAVITABEN SHAH FROM SHAH LALJI NANGPAR ACADEMY

Created by shahlalji 11 years ago
I have known Mr. J. S. Shah since 1993 when he was the School Convenor. I worked closely with him in the Junior School science laboratory which we were modifying to make it suitable and ideal for use by Senior School students. It was before the construction of the Senior School block. I was moved by his simplicity and his humility as he literally assisted the technician he had brought to work on the fittings. Mr. J. S. Shah was a visionary leader. He worked tirelessly with a plan to make Shah Lalji Nangpar Academy one of the best schools in the country. His goal was to make parents so happy that they would be proud to have their children studying in one of the best schools in this region. As a matter of fact, Mr. J. S. Shah requested the Executive Committee and the community in general to allow him to serve as the School Convenor for at least six years in order to fulfill his vision, and I am happy that the request was granted. Some of his main concerns were to motivate the staff, to improve facilities and to make other provisions in order to increase the student population, a goal which was indeed achieved. The number of students has increased so much that now we are short of space to accommodate the increasing number of new applicants. He was a man who saw a need and would meet it. If a problem arose he would not rest until the solution was found. Mr. J. S. Shah was a people centred leader. He was friendly and compassionate. He had compassion for the needy and the less privileged in the society. His was a life fully lived, because he committed his life to serve humanity. He has left a legacy and we thank God for the years he gave Mr. J. S. Shah and his wife Mrs. Savitaben Shah to live. On behalf of Shah Lalji Nangpar Academy community, I would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of Mr. J. S. Shah and & Mrs. Savitaben Shah upon the loss of their loved ones. We pray that God will give you the strength to overcome this painful experience. John G. Ntunguranyi Headmaster.
